Sunday at 11:15am: additional Sung Latin Mass (time change)

UPDATE (August 25, 2020):
We hope to continue to offer a second sung Latin Mass on Sundays while the diocesan occupancy requirements make it impossible to accommodate the 9:30am congregation with one Mass.

This Sunday, August 30, we will start the second Mass at 11:15am to allow more time before the 12:30 Spanish Mass.

Please call the church office at 203-866-5546 x 101 to make a reservation (as with all our weekend Masses).

August 18, 2020
Since the 9:30am Mass now regularly reaches its mandated capacity of 100 people, a Missa cantata (Extraordinary Form sung mass) will be added to the schedule on Sunday, August 23, at 11:30am. Charles and Elizabeth Weaver will provide music, including Ludovico Viadana’s Missa Dominicalis for solo voice and continuo. Please call the church office at 203-866-5546 x 101 to make a reservation (as with all our weekend Masses).

A few days ago, the bishop granted the parish permission to have up to 4 singers at a time at Mass (with adherence to safety guidelines), just in time for the St. Mary’s Schola Cantorum to return for our patronal feast of the Assumption (celebrated as an external solemnity last Sunday, August 16). This Sunday, August 23, the Schola will sing William Byrd's Mass for Four Voices at the 9:30 a.m. Solemn Mass. We will also welcome the Coro Hispano de Santa María back to the 12:30pm Spanish Mass in the coming weeks. The music schedule page will be kept updated with information on upcoming Masses.
