Please pick up your raffle tickets at the front of the church. It’ll save us postage costs!

This weekend we welcome Fr. Paul Check, rector of the St. John Fisher Seminary Residence, who will offer the 9:30 Mass. He and some seminarians from the Fisher House will join us for the coffee hour after Mass. Anyone interested in speaking with Fr. Check or the seminarians is encouraged to join us. The Fisher House is also hosting a fundraising barbecue at Trinity Catholic High School in Stamford on Saturday, October 13th. Funds will be used to purchase a new van. For more information call Fr. Kloster at the office.

The Teen Catechism Class will meet next on Wednesday, November 7th at 6:00 PM in the Church. All teens are welcome. Mark your calendar and invite a friend! Last week we had about 25 teenagers join us for 6:00 PM Mass on Wednesday. Following the Mass we adjourned to the gym to meet each other, eat pizza, and discuss three important questions: 1) Does God exist? 2) Is Jesus God? And 3) If Jesus established a Church, where is that Church to be found today? These three most fundamental questions must be answered before any person can hope to understand the meaning of life (or lack thereof). I think we are off to a good start.

This coming week the diocese will send an auditor to the parish to check our financial situation. This is standard operating procedure when a new pastor takes over a parish. The audit does not cost us anything. I met with the finance council last week and will meet with the parish council in the weeks forthcoming. I then hope to be able to provide you with detailed information about our financial situation.

Thanks for your support,
Fr. Ringley
