Directions to St. Mary Church in Norwalk, CT

From either of these sites you can request directions to or from the church, though if arriving via I-95 or the Merritt Parkway you will probably find the directions below preferable.

The church is located at the intersection of West Avenue and Chapel Street in Norwalk, CT. The parking lot is accessable from Chapel Street. The parish office is located in the rectory, which is on the church's north side; the office entrance faces West Ave. The parish center is adjacent to the parking lot.

The church's steeple should be easily visible as you approach. In the picture at the right, West Ave. is the four lane road next to the church, with the parking lot to the right. North is toward the top of the picture, east is the right side, etc.

From I-95N (approaching from southwest)
  • From I-95N take exit 14.
  • After stopping at the stop sign at end of ramp, go straight through the intersection.
  • After coming to and stopping at a second stop sign, go straight through the intersection.
  • At the traffic light, turn left onto West Ave. Church is approximately 3/4 mile away, and will be on your right. Turn right onto Chapel Street (just before the church) to get to the parking lot (third left).

    From I-95S (approaching from east)
  • From I-95S take exit 15; stay right on the exit ramp so that when it splits you're going toward the Maritime Center.
  • Stay to the right side of the ramp, making a slight right onto West Ave.
  • St. Mary Church will be visible ahead; turn right onto Chapel Street (just before the church) to get to the parking lot (third left).

    From the Merritt Parkway Northbound [CT-15N] (approaching from west)
  • Take exit 39A onto US-7 South.
  • From US-7S take exit 1. Turn left onto Van Buren Ave. (US-1)
  • Take the first left (there is a traffic light), passing under the US-7 bridge.
  • Follow the road as it bends to the left, and immediately after that take the right hand turn onto Mott Ave.
  • At the first traffic light, take a right onto West Ave.
  • St. Mary Church will soon be visible on your left; turn left onto Chapel Street (just past the church) to get to the parking lot (third left).

    From the Merritt Parkway Southbound [CT-15S] (approaching from northeast)
  • Take exit 40A, at the end of the ramp make a right onto Main Ave.
  • Make a right at New Canaan Ave., then a left onto US-7S.
  • From US-7S take exit 1. Turn left onto Van Buren Ave. (US-1)
  • Take the first left (there is a traffic light), passing under the US-7 bridge.
  • Follow the road as it bends to the left, and immediately after that take the right hand turn onto Mott Ave.
  • At the first traffic light, take a right onto West Ave.
  • St. Mary Church will soon be visible on your left; turn left onto Chapel Street (just past the church) to get to the parking lot (third left).
